30 MW AC 35 MW DC operating high concentrating photovoltaic dual axis solar facility. Whetstone is actively upgrading facility to monocrystalline photovoltaic and retaining dual axis technology.

​The existing operating project consists of 504 dual-axis, pedestal mounted tracker assemblies, each capable of producing approximately 60 kW of electricity from the sun. The trackers assemblies are 70 feet wide by 50 feet high and each contains 7,560 Fresnel lenses that concentrate sunlight by a multiple of 500 onto high-efficiency multi-junction solar cells developed originally as part of the US space program.
